The Monkey Goes Travelling
Hello, well we have arrived!
This is the most amazing place I have ever seen. Although it is slightly warm! Got slightly sun burnt today - sorry mum!
Arrived at the airport yesterday, which feels like a million days ago and Nick and Matt met us there. It was so strange to see people that we knew all the way over here. Hehehe
Went back to the hotel, which is in the midle of town, dumped the bags and went and hit the town!
I never thought on my first day I would be sat in a bar with Thai ladies popping things out of places that I never thought I would see, let alone wanted to see! There were so many ladies that you would like were ladies, but hold a secret up their knickers!!!! The wonderful thai lady boys!!!!!
Everything is so so cheap out here! Food and drink cost nothing, I came out here to loose some weight but have ended up eating everything in sight, no change there I hear you all cry! But is beats M and S Thai currys anyday!
Well today we set off early 10 am hehehehe and headed off to the Grand Temple! The colours were so amazing - see pictures if I get it all to work! The best one I feel is the monk stood outside the temple on his mobile phone! How technology has changed the world!
From there we went to the reclinging Budha
He was amazing, 46 meters long and 15 metres tall! I have never seen anything so bug in my life! I got full body goosebumps, which in a 35 degree place i think is pretty good!
From there we set off on a boat trip for an hour. At several stages through the trip i thought that the long boat was going to tip over! Too many fat westeners in it!
From these boats you get to see the other side of Bangkok, away from the lady boys and the bright lights, to the houses on stilts that would collpase if i walked on them! Crazy.
Tomorrow we are going to the Bridge over the river Kwai, the floating market and to watch a thai boxing match! Well you have to whilst you are here really!!!!!
Thursday Ellen and I are going to the Bangkok hilton (prison for nasty people) which we are very very excited about. Then a night bus up to Chang Mai to ride some elephants! Cant wait!!!
Will try and check in again soon
Hope the pictures work!
Love me (and monkey) xxxxx
