George's World Travels
So, Brisbane, before we came me and George had heard lots of bad things. And i guess we havent been hear long enough to assess so the jury is still out. The tragedy of the camera weighs on G's mind so I think that's what she we will remember Brisbane for which is sad. But me? It's all about the Komodo Dragon. I love those guys even more now. I finally got to see my FAVOURITE animal (polar bears come in at 2nd place, although Chilli is obviously 'above' everything).
Steve Irwin's Zoo was very very cool, not just for the Komodo but for the general treatment of all the animal's and the places that they have to live in. Wildilfe is treated very well over here, as it should be, and you can tell that Australian's are very proud of their animals.
Today we sent off a package of stuff that we no longer need and set about fixing G's camera. Basically, if it keeps playing up (which at the moment it is) we were told we could get a new camera for the same price of what it would cost to fix. G is keen to get a new one for obvious reasons, however i think we should stay cool and wait and talk to Bdug. Talking of Bdug, if youre reading this then we saw Downfall today (remember us talking about how we wanted to see it before i left?) at a really cool little cinema. Bruno Ganz who played Hitler is excellent, and i think its the best film ive seen in years. It's a must see film.
We also went to the Country Music Store that my Grandad has been getting Slim Dusty cd's from for years. Slim Dusty is a national hero over here, hes released over 100 albums or something ridiculous!!!
So yeah, not much to say cause we' ve been here so little, off to New Zealand tommorow, Chilli is not looking forward to the flight. She hasn't slept well recently, and she's very upset that G has sent Chester home. There have been lots of arguments over this. Ive taken Chilli's side. I think Chester is more important than clothes, and Ive let G know this.
