We went to the Spanish steps today though and saw the shopping area you told us about. Unfortunately... its all Versace, Burberry and Gucci style shops now, all in that price range. But still so cool to window shop. Its not often I see purses worth my entire trip to Europe!!!
We have looooads of stuff on the go but its hard to get my body raring to do things when I want to melt :( But, we have an air conditioned bus tour booked for Wednesday!!!

Grandma- the canals werenàt too bad but the fish market... pew- eeeeee! So stinky. Tomorrow weàre going to the steps and teh trevi fountain o I will remember to go south for my shopping fix. And no cokes there... too expensive!!!

hi ladies. sound like venice is lovely do the canels smell.you are going to rome tomorrow see the spanish steps from the top you get a great view .if you go south from the steps you are in some clothing shopsand some very good cafes these is also a cafe at the top of the steps but ti was very price in 1984 a can of coke was $5.00us well I will say goodnight for now stay well and happy love you both grandma.l

We looked into doing a gondola, but it was exceptionally expensive to do something like that... About 100$ each per hour. So we took a vaporetto (a bigger boat) and explored the channels and outer islands yesterday, and then today walked through several districts of the city.
Because we are cheap!

While your in Venice, make sure you go on a gondola tour of the city. Anxious to see the shoes you girls are bringing home???? Just think in 7 days and you'll be back on Canadian soil and on the 8th day you'll be home hugging Mom and Dad. Looking forward to seeing your pictures. Miss you both!
