So, we're actually not in Spain anymore.
We're somewhere between Spain and Monaco. But there's no option for 'The middle of the ocean' on the 'pick your location' list!
The trip has been fantastic so far. We found the plane rides to be really long though. I'm glad that that part of things is over. It's currently around 9pm here, and the internet cafe is quite busy.
Yesterday, I went for a walk around Barcelona while Genny rested (she's still sick). I took some pictures, and I will post them soon, but I saw a chocolate museum! Or, as it's spelled in Spain: xocolata. Strange, eh? Well, I took a picture of the sign outside.
The boat is nice, although it has a quite... doctor's-office-y smell. The staff is all very helpful and I'm so happy to have the internet cafe be 24 hours a day.
There are always movies playing on our shipboard TV, but unfortunately, it's not regular TV. So, no Dancing with the Stars for us for the next few weeks. Genny is crushed.
I'm starting to feel supreme cell-phone withdrawl. I want both of my phones near me where I can be connected to what's going on at work and with my friends. That's the thing with cruising... right now we do have substancial downtime, and since we're not 'mingling' (ew, there's a 'Singles Mingle' going on, I threw up a little bit in my mouth when the CRUISE DIRECTOR said that ahahahah.) so much, we've been watching TV, exploring a bit, and eating our turndown chocolates. Nothing allll that stimulating so I am missing home a lot and wishing I could talk to the people I love.
It's almost time to crawl into bed and have a cup of tea while reading and watching a movie. Thankfully, the shower isn't too bad and the beds are more comfortable than those in our hotel last night.
Tomorrow, we'll be in Monaco, sightseeing. I'm looking forward to it, and hoping that the breakfast buffet is good. Our breakfast at the H10 Marina Barcelona was odd... I love salami, but I only like it barbequed for breakfast. And who eats sauteed mushrooms for brekkie!? Strange.
Alrighty tighty, that's all for today's update. I'm going to hopefully be more punctual with getting these and some pictures up now that we're starting to figure the process out a bit here on ship and have regular access to computers.
