We thought nothing could compare to the beauty of Yosemite, but Yellowstone sures does come close. Among some of the amazing things we have seen; such as waterfalls, geysers, buffalo, and wolves; this place will not soon be forgotten. We woke up to the cry of wolves at midnight and in the morning sized up the car to a large male buffalo (he definitely had the upper hand!). We were shocked to see Santa coming down the steps of Ol' Faithful Lodge, but soon found out that August 25th is Christmas in Yellowstone (who would have known!). We feel as though we have only scratched the surface during our day hikes, but look forward to returning and exploring the back country in the future.
