Merida came at the perfect time. Good food, some much needed rest, and very nice visits with the family. Couldn´t have asked for much more. Waterfalls, ruins, the Maya Culture...we couldn´t ask for more from the last week. The Southern Mexico region known as Chiapas has had much to offer. We were told by a friend in Veracurz that taking the luxury bus ADO from Veracruz to Oaxaca was much safer and comfortable than local buses. Our last blog ended with us going to see Lucha Libre....which was quite an experience for these two gringos. Six bucks is the going price to see men and women in speedo´s and masks fake slap and punch eachother. All while a very rambunctuos crowd of Mexican´s (mothers with infants included) yell obsenities at the luchadores. The crowd got hysterical when a midget dressed in a blue gorilla costume flew from the highest rope of the ring to body slam an opponent. ...

We are happy to report that we made it! Our trip has officially begun, and my, what adventures we have already had.
