The Crazy Adventures of Gemma Jean
Hi all,
Ok, so I've actually managed to bus the entire length of Malaysia including an 8 hour stop on Penang to gander about Georgetown in 24 hours, not bad going eh?!
I'm now in Thailand and will be bording a bus to Krabi in an hour. I thought I had to get on it an hour earlier but then found that I hadn't sorted my watch out yet and we had gone back an hour, ooops. Oh well, at least its given me some internet time!
Malaysia emed nice but can't really say as it was a bit or a whirlwind. Penang was cool and I met some people who showed me around Georgetowm\n, even got a free lunch so definitly worth that!
Hat Yai, as far as I can tell is busy and merely a stop over for travellers on their way down to Malaysia, or like me wjo is perhaps the only one doing it the other way, on their way up through Thailand. I've taken a picture of my room and toilet for you all to have a laugh at, really is rather special and I know some of you would probably prefer to wet themelves than use it...hehe.
Looking forward to Krabbi and especially Ko Phi Phi, where I should be by early this afternoon. It's Caroline's favourite Island so quite excited about checking it out. I'm going to spend all tomorrow and tomorrow night there chilling, which I think I need considering in the last two weeks I've covered 4 countries and am now on my 5th!!
After Ko Phi Phi it's just a bit of Island hopping for a couple of weeks and not much travelling at all! This is where I'm hoping of meeting up with some fellow backpackers to live it up large for a while before North Thailand where I'm going to be travelling around like a blue arsed fly once more.
Ok, better dash. Hope everyone is ok.
Nic, house sounds wicked!! I definitly can't wait to see it and have a historical analysis!! How wierd that its made from Ashby Castle stones and thats where Mark proposed!!
Ok, now I'm really off,
Love to everyone
