Still feeling pretty crappy. Think I'll take a bus into Positano and stroll through the shops. Might see if I can replace my poor battered suitcase, which is looking pretty terminal.

Went for a swim at the beach today. Walked down a gazillion steps to get there. It's not exactly a beach of course - rocks. Very civilised though. There was a cafe and rows of sun beds. The water was nearly perfect - it doesn't compete with places like Vanuatu but it was clear and blue and cool without being cold. Swam for a bit, sun baked for a nano second then relocated into the shade. Of course the return trip means walking back UP a gazillion steps. By ...

Waited an hour for reception to open at the hotel. Taxi to ferry Ferry to Capri Ferry to Positano Wrestle suitcase up multiple steps (I think my suitcase is now terminal) Taxi to Praiano Finally here - the hotel is lovely and now I'm hitting the pool.
