Woke up this morning around 8am - Gaz asked me if I'd heard all the commotion around 6am - I hadn't - he said there was a flare out in the sea and the ship slowed right down to almost a stop - a plane had circled several times over the ship and then one of the lifeboats was launched - whilst all of this was going on, Gaz looked down and saw a shark around 5 to 7 feet long just swimming next to the ship - unfortunately he didn't photograph any of the goings on. ...

Got up and around 10am and decided to go to the 80's music quiz - got 30 out of 40, didn't win but we didn't do too bad. Went for "posh brunch" today. Used our "free drink" voucher - I got a "cruiser" cocktail and then Gaz got me one with his voucher - he had a beer. I had the Caesar salad with fried chicken to start - Gaz had tomato soup, I then went for the grilled salmon and Gaz had steak and eggs, couldn't fit pudding in! The waiter was lovely - he ask...

Quite a rocky night last night! I woke several times to hear the wind and spray on the windows of the cabin. Went for breakfast around 10am, the sun was shining and it was really warm. Yay! Lazy morning went for help yourself breakfast. Went back to room to update blog, steward wanted to clean room so took laptop to the sports bar. Music quiz 60s to 90s so joined in - got 27 out of 40 - not too bad! Went to the on board shops and I couldn't decide which bag to buy, so I bought both! First sea day out of five! Quite rocky on board! Had a chilled day, had a look around the shops, went for a swim - typical as we got there the sun went in! A bit chilly in the pool so went in the Jacuzzi on the serenity deck - lovely! Then had a chill/snooze in a cabana on the deck.
