We left the Bungle Bungles and our ensuite safari tent, could have stayed there all day surveying the jungle, er I mean bush, from our deck, the irony is, the owner is South African. The decor reflected Africa with its grass screens and cast iron cooking pots just like you see cannibals using in the movies. Tonight's photo shows me shutting the last of the station gates at Mable Downs, hopefully it's the last gate on our trip! This morning I heard a moo and next thing, about a dozen cattle walked past our tent while I was sitting on the deck eating breakfast. They wanted to eat the grass that gets watered for the tents to be erected on, the grass is always greener... !
Arrived back in Kununurra at lunch time, booked into a cabin in Kimberleyland holiday park. It gave us a chance to catch up on clothes washing. We went to a cafe for lunch under a shady mango tree and then did a spot of shopping. Then came back to hang out the washing, it only takes 2 hours to dry in 30 degree heat. The view from our window is of the lake on the Ord river. The sunset was once again beautiful, showing reflections on the lake. There are plenty of water birds to watch and a sunset cruise boat motored by. They are having an outdoor movie in the park at 6pm, as it is dark enough by then, Billy Elliot is on tonight. Heading to N.T. And Katherine tomorrow.
