Today we took the Plantation tour featuring Oak Alley and got a picture of southern life and the wealth that was built on the back of slavery. Today was a mix up that turned out well. We presented for our French Quarter walking tour to find that it was cancelled so we took the swamp tour instead. Just fantastic cruising up the bayous spotting alligators. Images of those creepy movies set in the swamp adding to the experience. Today we travelled from New York to the Hyatt French Quarter. There was a warmth about our greeting that we had not experienced for some time. We had also been greeted with a room upgrade and complimentary champagne and chocolates. It was a nice start. We ventured out to Muriel's restaurant for some Cajun cuisine.
