Today we had a great tour out to the volcano. The tour moved at a relaxed pace with a stop at a coffee plantation along the way. We also stopped for a walk along a lovely black sand beach where Ket was excited to see more green sea turtles. We then travelled on into yhe national park where we stopped to walk through a lava tube. I will be interested to compare my photo taken in the same place in 1986. Today was a lazy day around the hotel with the highlight being dinner at a beautiful waterfront restaurant called Huggo's on the water at Kona. We were given the best table right on the waters edge and the service was genuinely warm and friendly. One of up the special dinners of our tour.

Today we did a nature tour out to see some waterfalls on private land. The guide was informative and entertaining and we learnt some of the history of the migration of the first people to Hawaii and the foods they brought with them. The waterfalls were a little disappointing but this was made up for by lunch at a spectacular coastal viewpoint which translated in English to Heavenly View.
