....continued.
The greyhound bus arrived about 00:25 am. I was glad it arrived when it did, it was so cold. Took my seat, it was quiet so I had two sets of two seats across the aisle so I could lay down. 10 minutes down the road was the break stop, I've been on 10 minutes and the bloody bus stops for 30 minutes for the driver to have his break.! Ahh. I went and got a milkshake and some sweets for my journey. When I got back onboard I had a sleeping pill also known as piriton. (Don't worry I'm not addicted to them.!)
The journey was ok, and I slept most of the way. I had started to watch a movie on my iPhone, bust crashed out. The bus stopped a few times, each time I woke up, and went back to sleep. I was cold, thank god for my jumper! It was about 9:30am when we arrived in the city, and then I had a further 20 minutes to the domestic airport. I had booked an afternoon flight with Tiger Airways to Melbourne. I was worried if the greyhound bus was late I would be b*****ed. But instead I arrive early meaning I have a 5 hour wait at Sydney airport. I couldn't even check in until one o'clock. I tried to get on the earlier flight, but they were going to charge me 3 x the price I paid originally, I don't think so!!! Lol. I just waited. It really was a long wait. Thank god for the free Internet. I was pretty tired by the time the flight was called, boarded. And slept the entire flight. Whoop whoop, welcome to Melbourne!
**** VICTORIA! ****
Once I arrived at Melbourne Tallamarine airport I got my bag and got onto the airport bus that would drop me in the centre of the city. I then had to get a tram from the centre to St. Kilda where I was staying. The first tram was packed, it was rush hour now and there was no way I was going to be able to get on. I waited ten minutes for the next. Still busy but managed to squeeze on. Cutting a long story short, I got off at the wrong stop, I was in the middle of nowhere! I has got off about 8 stops to early. Not sure why I got off but it worked out ok, the next tram was only 5 minutes later, and empty! Arriving at the correct stop Luna Park in St. Kilda I headed to my hostel. It was dark and cold now the base was only a 3 minute walk away. The first Base hostel I've stayed in. I have heard mixed reviews about base. But I'm only here a few nights. First impressions it looked ok. The room was pretty big, and I meet someone in the room from Horsham, and she actually knew someone I know! Miss Millar. Small world. Not sure how close they are, but honestly this girl did my f**king head in. It was bad enough she had a cold, and was coughing and sneezing all over the place, without covering her mouth. She snored so bad, It sounded like a wild pig. I went down to the Woolworth's to get some dinner, and chatted to Corey (from the states) and a couple of other guys in my room. I didn't sleep until about 11, sound early I know but I'm up at 6:30 on the GREAT ocean road tour.
Today seemed to be just a travel day, it seemed like the day would never end. But finally I was tucked up in my bed. Covering my own mouth from the germs, and I could still hear the sound of the snoring pig when wearing ear plugs! Great.
