It is Saturday afternoon and we have just arrived at Heathrow, now waiting for our third and final flight today. We left Graeme's at 6.45, saying goodbye to the delightful Alex and Claudia. All felt sad but the early wake up meant they were all still half asleep.
Stopped at Barcelona airport, now here and on to Manchester. I told Nate the weather would be rainy and I think he was disappointed to see a sunny day! I'm sure a week in Manchester will make him want to see the sun again.
We have been absolutely spoilt with the glorious summer weather in Spain- we have been lathering sunscreen and insisting on hats,much to Graeme's disgust. He thinks they need sun to toughen up their skin. He is aware of always being so pale so we made him feel brown!!
Spain is an endlessly beautiful place and we saws so much , however the best part was just being with GrAeme and the kids and living life with them for a few weeks. We didn't hear a harsh word between the kids the whole time, they just played and played and played. Boys : cricket- inside (wi) and outside, Monopoly- real and on computer, iPad,iPad,ipad(as much as we would allow), chased, hide and seek
Girls: dolls, jewellery making, make believe games, coloring , puzzles, cubby house in the olive grove next to the house ( for the first week), Wi Sing and games with the boys.
They will miss each other, I think.
It was time to leave though and we are all looking forward to seeing old friends and exploring a little bit of England.
