After the 12 hour stint in Singapore, we flew to perth and we both felt ready to leave SE Asia as we had just about had enough of people trying to sell us everything under the sun 24 hrs a day.
Arrived in Perth and Pete the bus driver greated us outside and took us to Northbridge, where most of the HostelS are based. After dropping our gear off at the Underground Hostel and making our beds we took a walk around town and then the hostel..... I thought i was in Dublin and not just Dublin but the alcoholics help centre in the city...my good lord those guys drink all day everyday and would soon be known as the CCC or Carlton Cold Crew by me and my room 5 buddies. That night we decided to watch the England game in Mustang Bar...mistake watching the game however the bar was great fun, we did end up having a great night out with a lovely young lady known as Ella and her friends....home at 6am and then slept most of the next day and did some washing as it was a rubbish day in Perth. Spoke to a few of the CCC gang and through the drunkenness and Irish hardman shell we met some really nice blokes and girls(...only 5 in the whole hostel....3 of which where stunning but taken...damm)...over the next few days we spent it floating around perth city, saw the aquarium and spent a few days on the beach...also slowly got dragged into a few CCC nights out and decided to spend the next week in same hostel as it was fine and easy to get to everywhere....gradually we got rid of the wronguns and room 5 become a great place to be...everyone was cool and chilled and a good laugh...we met Andy here and spent the next week with him, clara, matt (oz) and Cloudia from SAfrica...most days were again spent at the Beach, sundays at the cott where I met the lovely Michele and in town or in the park.
We visited Rottnest island on one day, which was a good day out on some bikes, however a little cloudy and i ruined my big toe in a battle i lost with the road. Rottnest is a great place and I will defo go back at some point on a sunny day to see the beaches...beautiful.
Ed visted the wine region on the friday with Andy and I spent day at botanical gardens and Scarbourgh Beach with a certain new friend i had made. Then that evening I met the boys for a huge night...good times...Sat was spent on beach again...awsome place and then Sunday and Ed's Birthday was spent in the Cott...great day out and something every male on the planet should do...awsome....
In all my 2 weeks in Perth where great and i may pop back for a week. In Summary, it is a 'small' place, 1.5 million people over a large area so very quiet, however it has many many plu points....weather is great...not humid like Cairns, the beaches and sea is great apart from great whites, the bars, pubs, food is brilliant and the female population is something that has toi be seen to be belived...woww...ha ha ...highly recomended.....
