Our last day in Hoi An before heading down the coast to Nha Trang. The weather once again wasnt great with us being wet all day. As we didn't have muhc to do we went walking around Hoi An. Ryan decided he wanted to get some shirts tailored and we found a place to get them done in 4 hours. Then it came the decisions about which colour and length... it takes so long to make decisions! Int he end one short sleeve, one long sleeve.
After the tailor stop we walked around the market, there were lots of little shops selling everything from meat left out to fresh fruit and vegetables and little bits and pieces. It was very interesting to see but the smell was horible. We then decided to walk to a local english book store/swap. This is when it started bucketing down and so we had to buy a poncho. We walked to the shop across the river on a little island. It had a stair case painted as spines of books I ended up buying a book to read.
After this we headed back towards out hotel where I got my nails done for AUD 13 at a salon, one of many. It didn't take long for me to chip them tho... ahh well!
We then had some food and drink before heading back to the hotel to wait for out taxi. Next to out hotel was a soccer field so we went and watched the locals play. They were very sweaty due to the humidity but it was very cool to see.
We then got the taxi to the train station and driver drove off without us giving him the money. Lucky he came back 5 minutes later so we could give it to him :) All in all, lots of fun in Hoi An, just a pity the weather wasn't any better. On to Nha Trang next :)
