Waking up to some good weather for our cruise. We got up early to pack our bags and head for breakfast. I got pancakes again :) I then also ran to the bakery to get some baked goods for our travels.

Not soon later the bus pulled up and we jumped on ready for the 4 hour trip to ha long city. About 2 hours in we stopped for a break at a shopping centre where everything is very expensive. The food was all western and we just wanted maybe something local but that was staff only. So we ate our bakery items while waiting for the bus.

Soon we were at ha long city and we had to wait for our guide to buy our ticket. Then we got on a small boat on the way to our large junk. Once on board we had a welcome drink and checked out the view. We got upgraded to a nicer boat and a good room with a view on the boat. We soon had lunch with plate after plate of food coming out. As I don't like seafood I had lots of smaller dishes just for me. Way too much food! Drinks were expensive too but of course I want beer on the boat.

After lunch we enjoyed the view from the sundeck and relaxed drinking our beer and looking out at the view. The blue water and small islands were amazing. Then it was time to get on the small boat and go kayaking. At the kayaking place there was a map to visit the fishing villages and pearl farm. Once in the kayak we followed some other people and turned the wrong way. We ended up out in the main bay and kayaked quite a while before realising so by the time we turned around and got back to the course we were stuffed so we went back to the start.

After kayaking we went back to the boat to do some swimming. We jumped in from the small boat and enjoyed the water. Then we grabbed a beer and watched sunset from the sun deck and relaxed before dinner.

Dinner once again was plate after plate of food. So much food with me getting individual chicken dishes cooked many ways! After another beer both Ryan and I were stuffed so we went to hit the hay on the bay!
