So today is our last day in Marrakesh we're flying out at around half 7, plenty of time to 'souk' up the atmosphere one last time and hit the new town on the way to the airport. So we headed around the souks again, I bought a really nice hand crafted ashtray for 25 dirham (about £2) down from 40. Haggling is just part of the nature here, even for something really cheap you just have to get it down because they double the price for tourists and it really is fun....

Better night sleep last night, we're settling in now! We decided to head up to the Ourika Valley today for a day trip around the Atlas Mountains. I spoke to my dutch friend Roual and his family last night and they recommended some places. The best way to do it is to get a grand taxi from the edge of town for the day, and this is about 600-700 dirham (£60). The driver then acts as your guide too. We paid 800 dirham in the end. We arrived in Marrakesh after quite a scary end to a flight at around 8:00pm. Due to storms Marrakesh airport was closed for a while so we had to keep circling the airport with only an hour of fuel left!
