Breakfast in the Hotel Sekia, which had only 7 guests. There was no need to hurry today so I had a look round the town (for the first time in daylight), and had a quick look in the main church (San Salvador) where, it being Sunday, a mass was in progress.
Route finding today was easy - just followed the A-127 all the way. stopping for a quick bite in Sadaba. There was quite a long uphill to Sos, but I took it easy. The hotel I had prebooked (Asbruixas) was 'bijoux', and was indeed very nice, and I had got a cheap rate (double room for 40 Euros) via booking dot com. The town has a long and interesting history. Established in 907 as Sos, in 1452 it was the birthplace of Ferdinand, who with Isabella became 'The Catholic Kings', so the name of the town was changed to commemorate that. The town is well preserved, and I enjoyed wandering round it, including an interesting little art gallery - see photos. Later that evening I decided to have dinner in the hotel, and had a delicious stewed pigeon with half a bottle of Rioja, preceded by mussels compote, and followed by sheep's milk tart with hot chocolate sauce. Asi que hace frio pero muy delicioso. !Suficiente sobre la comida!
