We went to the waterfall that day and got soaked on the way by songcran so we managed to find some water bottles and do the same from off the tuk-tuk!! The following day we baught water pistols and all 10 of us made our own station on the street!! On our final day in Luang Probang we went to the palace only for half of us to be looked out as we were after the 3.30pm deadline!!

We got on a bus to vang vien on the 11th where we were going to go tubeing!! The journey had amazing senery which again we got soaked as our bus drove past the hill villages!! We didn't for the first day go tubeing as we wanted to have a relaxed day in the friends cafe which we found it was very surreal!! Some of the bar tendors were rather interesting characters!! We went on the second day and sadly had our water guns nicked by small children!! Tubeing is where we all had a rubber ring and went down the river stopping off at many places on the way!! The first place we went to had a huge zip wire running straight into the water and the second a massive tarzan swing!! We spent over 4 hours on the river and was amazing fun!! we were quite glad we left when we did though due to a massive storm!! this was the second storm we had had whilst we were there and there was fork lightning everywhere in the sky almost every few seconds and thunder very load!! we went to the smile bar that evening with lots of hammoks and some fun music!!

Today we went to the bus stop and left the others behind (although bridie came with us to spend an extra day in the capital) to get the bus however were told that only public busses were avaliable so we got on a very rickety crowded bus to vientaine!! it is a much bigger city and as it was the actually new year today got soaked with our bags and all on the way to our hostel!! was funny at first but now all my stuff is soaked through!!
