Hi everyone, in Alice Springs right now- such a small place!!

The heat is unbearable and there are thousands of flies which are obsessed with your eyes, mouth, ears and nose. So I have invested in a fly head cover thing (il try and photograph it). I look quite stupid, but its easier than having to flap them away constantly!

There are many aborginals here and we are told that we shouldnt walk around at night and be very cautious during the day.

Dad, I think this place has changed since you were here- its mostly travel agents, opal shops and bommerangs!!

Going to the desert park today which should be good, and so begins my 6 day (expensive) trip around Alice visiting Ayers Rock (pictured), Kings Canyon and the Olgas. Will be trying some zebra soon- yum yum!

Oh, last night (my first meal in Alice) I found the biggest beetle in my dinner last night- yuck!!
