Our flight to Warsaw was at 12:20 pm, so that didn't give us much time in the morning to see more of the beautiful city of Budapest.
We travelled to the airport for our "Wizz" flight and as we were almost through to the plane, Anthony was asked to check the size of his cabin bag and it failed. We thought "huh"? It's a standard cabin bag and we've been travelling on numerous flights with it. But, oh no, on Wizz you can only take a "small" cabin bag and ours was a "large" cabin bag. That will be $70 thanks. Anthony was ropable, especially when the next three guys had the same size bags which weren't checked and the woman in front had a bag that was much larger. Anthony stewed for most of the one hour flight.
Once we arrived at our hotel, we walked across the road to the shopping centre for lunch and a bit of shopping. Our largest piece of luggage had been torn on our flight to Budapest and although the lining was still ok we figured it might not last the rest of the trip so we took advantage of the shopping centre. We managed to find a Samsonite store and bought a new bag for much cheaper than we could've online in Australia, so Anthony was happy.
We were feeling a bit tired and jaded so we had a shower, room service and an early night.
Unfortunately during our travels there have been more attacks, some blamed on ISIS. 15 were wounded in Ansbach in Germany where a suicide bomber attacked outside an outdoor music festival (a Syrian denied asylum who was reported as having psychological problems). This is on top of a machete attack with a death and a mass shooting in a Munich shopping centre that killed 9 people.
