Sea day, yay! After five days of walking and site seeing we were ready for some down time. After a leisurely breakfast with the usual side dish of smoked salmon (I think we've eaten our cruise fare), I sat on the deck in the sunshine and watched a movie on the big screen: Minions. Anthony went to the cooking demonstration then listened to some in jazz in the piazza.
One of the things we keep seeing on our holiday is the proliferation of wind turbines. Pretty freaky looking things to me. Anthony thought it was hilarious when he noticed about 50 out in the middle of the Baltic. He reckons they are following me. They might be good for the environment, but they are so weird looking.
We went to the art auction (free champagne!), but we decided not to purchase the Rembrandt this time around. Luckily there weren't any pieces we liked in our price range so we went to our cabin and watched a movie. The movie was a bit slow and we both nodded off for a few minutes, so when it finished we were ready to hit the town.
During dinner the ship went under the bridge between Denmark and Sweden. Pretty impressive bridge! We stayed up late for a change and even watched a show. Afterwards we walked around the promenade deck and watched the ocean from the rear of the ship. It was breazy and a bit chilly, but we had the deck to ourselves. That spot is my favourite.
It is still hard to get used to the late sunset. In fact, I don't think we've even seen one since we left home.
