What I forgot to mention was about the little old lady at the homestay in The village called Van Tan. Sapa
She was 83 dressed immaculate in a beautiful mauve outfit, which if you saw the conditions in the village would be a
as surprised as me. Never spoke a word of English
But the guide was telling us that 30 years ago she was really poorly, wouldn't or couldn't eat.
So they made her coffin which sits around the side of the house, apparently when she saw it she started eating and drinking again. The shock of dying gave her the will to live.
Lovely story I thought, not sure what the daughter in law thinks, as she lives with them as they all do.
Have got a picture of her and the coffin but it's on my main camera. So the
Picture is map of Sapa town and I have circled where we walked.
My memories.
Great thing about this itouch is I can write as I travel, therefore think of the things I forget. Just can't publish till I get Internet.
At the moment on the way to Halong Bay half way through a 3 hour journey and it's amazing how the temperature has changed already it's baking, so I think this trip is going to be opposite to the last.
