Well train arrived back at 5.00 am this morning, worst part here is Taxi drivers, rip you off if you havent got any idea. I was trying to get a set price and finally this guy agreed made me follow him, but I sensed it wasnt right took me to his motor bike. I done a runner back to station. Meet a Spanish lady having the same trouble she had been quoted 800,000 dong which is about 40.00 pd should be only 40,000 about 2.00pd. She wasnt far from my hotel so i suggested we went together, she had to in the end some b****** had stolen her wallet, out of her bum bag at that.

Makes you aware to be careful. My hotel Im in is great the receptionist has done nothing but help me. They told me how much to pay and when I got in this morning gave me a room straight away, deluxe at that 16dollars.

She booked my trips as well, everyone was great helpful & lovely.

In Sapa one even lent me here Fleece for the trek as I had no warm clothes, it saved my life I reckon. I would certainly come back to this hotel, anyone reading its the Serenity Cua Dong Hoan Kiem Hanoi, if you are travelling this way. Also Have to do that so I have it for my own records.

Receptionist has just told me she was getting married on the 18th Dec but her grandad seriously ill so out of respect she has to cancel it, for 2-3 months ( Think he must be on his last legs) if it was a parent it would be a year. Very family orienated. I have been on this computor about 2 hours in reception there all eating dinner now as staff all eat together. Think it is a family type run hotel.

Uk need to get a few lessons off of these.

Anyhow Im going to leave them to lunch, wander off into the sunshine. Easy day for me as my ankles and legs are sore. Plus Im up and out early tommorow for another trip she has booked me on. Sounds great Halong Bay on a wooden Classic boat, where I will celebrate my birthday. So cheers to you all. xx
