Had a great supper last night at Morning Glory restaurant which is in expensive for the food you have
Unfortunately it is another cold damp day, so not seeing Hoian at it's best.
Hired. bikes for the day after an amazing breakfast. We actually had bacon, they are always good but this one was the best.
Half hour cycle to the beach, wind against us. Come on Jess you can't turn back, up that hill and over, nearly there.
These youngsters no energy or go in them. You do hear a lot of backpackers moaning there tired, most of then haven't even had jobs yet, god knows how they will feel after a 60 hour week. Other countries work so much harder than Europeans. Not all.
Vietnamese get up open there shops by 5.30am still there at midnight.
Well we get to the beach but hard to tell what it would be like on a hot sunny day, it's blowing a gale and the waves are huge, good for surfing.
But we have heard it's lovely.
Guess what we got caught again by one of the little traders they appear from nowhere, reckon she fell out of a banana tree. See pictures in album
Well don't need to open a shop after all, found another Market today that sold sweaters etc. Jess got a cardigan and I succumbed to a very bright fleece. For two reasons one I am going to do 3 days on a motorbike the other it's bloody cold wet and miserable.
Got a bright one as will give it to the orphanage when I leave. So you will have to make the most of the pictures as it will be no more after Vietnam.
Well eventually took the bikes back at about 4.30 very wet but not cold, colourful. Well I am !!
Have been for my fittings today for new clothes all good, so will post back sea mail my coat and other bits I have collected along the way.
Brings back memory of when I posted back from Peru. Did I ever wear any of it. ??
Decided not to go on a tour here, thought about doing 5.am one in morning to get sunset over some ruins similar to Angkor Wat in Cambodia but weather so bad you wouldn't see it. plus I'm planning to do A. W when I'm back in Cambodia
So we have just done the things in town museums, Assembly halls that look like temples & Japanese bridge which had amazing homes on it architecture all wood. Still being lived in as well. Apparently originally built in 1590's it linked then Japan with China.
We have one left to do tomorrow which is to be the Pagoda hopefully as it's Sunday they might have things going on.
There is about 16 different sites you can visit we just paid for 5
Shame about the rain as it Is very pretty here, with lanterns hanging everywhere on trees shops bridges etc.
Not up to much tonight to wet out there for a start, Jess is struggling with her finances.
Found out about an orphanage here today so maybe next year.
Leave on overnight bus tomorrow heading for Dha Trang, so better look into next accommodation. Couple of days there. Ten hours away so hopefully dryer.
It's a busy life.
