Day 4 December 16th
Last night I stayed on in Da Lat as I was having a fourth day with Lee on the motorbike. As arriving tea time last night hadn't had chance to see it.
He kindly let me stay at his, no nothing like that they call me mum so hardly stand a chance.
So today we went around Da Lat very clean place with panoramic views.
Visited an old railway station and two pagodas. Both quite different, one was on top of a hill in the most beautiful grounds very peaceful, with just wind chimes and a monk tapping a humming bowl. It is a Pagoda where they train to become a monk.
The other was quite different very ornate very hard to explain will try and put some pictures on. Both made me feel quite emotional. this one has apparently been seen a few times with an aura around it. Has pictures to prove it.
Next a visit to the summer palace where the king and his family use to come. It's just a museum now as they have no king. The country is communist but the Vietnamese don't like it.
I am now back in Saigon after a 8 hour bus trip. It's one o'clock in the morning and I'm being picked up at 7am to do a three day boat and bus trip that will take me back to Cambodia so will arrive there on the evening of the 19th
I have loved Vietnam and if you ever get the chance you must come and see for yourselves. It's not a problem as a solo traveller. The food is great most the people are friendly. Just avoid taxis when you can or get a rough idea of price before. It's a very self sufficient country all the food is fresh whether it be fruit, veg, meat or amazing fish. Prawns etc till you can't eat anymore.
Well bed for me sorry I haven't got time to catch up or email anyone, but after the next three days should have Internet everyday.
