Day one Mekong River

Another early start after a very late night, but I'm on my way to do a three day boat trip along the Mekong Delta.

It's a three hour boat ride till we get to our first stop, it's interesting though as much activity on the water with lot of traders.
Arriving in a place called My Tho we are changed over to a more local boat, where we go to Unicorn Island. On this island they have bees so therefore try to sell you honey plus other goods honey wine,rice wine , banana wine plus medicinal product for joints etc. Yes I'm giving it a go of course, it taste like a shot so not bad for breakfast.
It is a banana growing plantation as well then they give us a typical ride on a Vietnamese boat. Wish I could swat like the women do here. Hence the medicine.
It's all a bit touristy but hey Ho, lunch then another Island that deals with the coconuts so are shown how they make coconut candy. Yes I got some. Wonder if I still have it when I get home.
Later a try of tropical fruits and tea whilst listening to local music.
Then a very bumpy 3 hour bus ride to a town called Can Tho.
Through the day I have paled up with 2 Brits from Brighton. So we arranged to met for supper, whilst going to my room I met a lovely Polish couple, it's his birthday. You know what's coming next, Mmmmmmm 2 bottles of Vodka and 10 beers later it's 1.am in the morning. We are along the river with couple of random kids break dancing, everyday is different you never can guess the outcome of a day.
But it was a great night with really lovely people and we did have a laugh.
So the 5dollars extra I has payed for air con was a waste as I sparked out
