Test Run
Another fabulous stay at the "Handford Hyatt" with Sarah & Chris was the perfect ending to our round the world trip & completed our circle back to Australia. We did some basics like catching up with the washing & helping out with a bit of housework, sorting photos & writing the last few blog posts but also had lots of enjoyable experiences. At short notice our dear friends Victoria & Julian were able to meet us for lunch at Sanctuary Cove so we spent a delightful afternoon catching up with them. Had morning tea with my cousin & his family & it was wonderful to see them again. We visited Sarah's office at Coffee Club in Southbank, had lunch with her & went shopping in the city. Parkrun at Sandgate on Saturday was lovely as always with the new course going out to Shorncliffe Pier & back. The guys played golf on Sunday while Sarah & I had our first experience of looking at wedding dresses - great fun for us all. It was sad to leave Brisbane but also a pleasure to find our home & cat so immaculately cared for by Glynis & Alan. We're extremely happy with the house sitting arrangement & will be more than happy to recommend them to anyone & to have them housesit for us in the future. So our fabulous adventure "around the world" is over & it's always a bit strange to come home but perhaps some of the pleasure of traveling is knowing there's somewhere known & loved to come home to. We're blessed to have a few family & friends who are delighted by our stories & my hundreds of photographs so we can share the pleasure of our experiences for a while. The few special souvenirs - fridge magnets, scarves, gloves & tiny houses for my windowsill will take us back to the places they're from whenever we use or see them & as I read recently - holiday memories are precious moments of enchantment that stay with you forever & spur you on to further travels.............mmm..... I wonder what's next!

lisa Beautiful last entry , just reading now. That photo of Sarah beach shell combing just touched my motherly heart, reminding me of all the photos like this of Tane and Kira I have and how those moments are still there for years to come! Blessed! x
