Had quite a chilled day yesterday relaxing by pool before heading off to the Dubai Mall for a spot of shopping. We met up with Kat and Med again for dinner at a Lebonese restaurant before they took us on a mini tour of Dubai including the Marina (which is a mini city on itself). Some of the architecture is amazing in terms of the buildings - there is a twisty one which was designed for each floor to rotate so you have a different view each day!

They are built in only a couple of years (compare that to Liverpool Waters which has been trying to get planning permission for about five years and will be built over 30 years!). It's no wonder the UK is being left behind.

We headed to Bar Barasti which is a beach bar mainly full of English - so we felt right at home, with an Irish singer and big football screens. Thanks to Kat and Med for being fantastic and generous hosts.

Relaxing by pool at moment, ready to be picked up for our desert safari which includes: dune bashing in a 4x4, watching the sunset in the desert, an evening Bedouin meal and a belly dance!
