OK.. so now we are safely ensconsed in our seats we can relax!! The flight was as all long haul flights are... pretty long and boring although as Deb said fairly empty ( I wonder if that's because everyone else missed the flight as we so nearly had ). 8 hours later we arrived in Singapore at around 4pm, unfortunately with the flight being 3.5 hours early we now have 7 hours layover but Changi Airport is very used to amusing weary travelers and has a vast array of shops, internet access, food options etc. There is a pay for use lounge also that has a spa, showers etc which is I'm sure well patronised. I had bought a Woolworths Global Roaming Sim which I'm very cranky about cos when I went to get it operational here it just wouldn't work, grrr. GJ connected to the free WiFi so was able to skype Kyle but my phone wouldn't even let me do that so Deb and I made quite a few trips to the many banks of computers with free internet access!! Upstairs in the food court I found a Subway.. yay... and both Deb and GJ had a look at the Texas Chicken place but just couldn't bring themselves to eat the blue/grey chicken from there. Finally it was time to board the last leg of this epic journey... as we walked down the air bridge I couldn't help but notice how old and tired the plane looked, it was an older version of the Qantas 747 and even on the inside there were signs of age.... but hey 12 something hours later we safely touched down at Heathrow.... OMG, we're here. Bring on the Cotswolds!!
