We touched down in Brisbane at 7.10 am. I was feeling ok because I managed to get lots of sleep during the 14 hr flight, Rodd however never sleeps much on planes. 

We breezed through immigration, collected our bags and out through security in short order. Next we have to make our way over to the domestic terminal so we head off to the Air Train. On the envelope that our boarding passes were put in in LA was a free pass on the Air Train so we showed it to the lady at the gate. She asked if we had another and when we said no she asked if we were on another Virgin flight. We explained about Longreach only having Qantaslink so she gave us another free pass to get to Domestic.

Now I know the train is a privately owned concern but I think it's disgraceful that there is no free transfer between International and Domestic Terminals in Brisbane unless you are flying the same airline... I mean what difference does it make??!!

We had about 3 hours to wait in Brisbane so we ate then of course we went to a bar and drank.... as you do!! 

All too soon it was time to board our last flight, this one only 3 hours but by the time we got home we'd been travelling for about 40 hours!! 

And so ends another epic journey. We've had an amazing time catching up with some wonderful friends and meeting new ones along the way. Back to work to remember the good times and start thinking about what the next adventure will be!
