Coming Home
We left Illaroo and took a quick detour into the nearby fishing town of Wooli. It would certainly be a top summer spot for beaching and fishing, with river and mouth on one side and beach on the other. Another spot to return to one day hopefully. After a couple hours driving we called in to Coffs Jayco where we bought the van to show our vendor, Graeme, just how dirty we got it and what it was capable of! He LOVED it, seeing first hand what the van can be used for.
After stopping in for Freddos pies for lunch we finally got to Laurieton to Nana and Poppy's place. It was so lovely to see them! We had a fantastic afternoon and night catching up and playing the 'train game'. The next morning we had a lazy start and then headed to the beach for a swim. After lunch the boys and I had a rest and watched a movie while the Foley seniors and Ben went to the club for the afternoon. We enjoyed another lovely evening and all watched 'Wonder' after tea.
There were certainly mixed emotions heading off the next morning, the boys were eager to be home but it's always tough leaving Laurieton. Ben and I were not looking forward to the clean up, but eager to see home, family and friends.
It has been an absolutely brilliant trip, feeling much longer than just two months, and incredibly enjoyable. We have loved spending this quality time with our growing boys, all learning together and living a great, yet simple life.
