Visited mausoleums (palaces at which to relax, and tombs) of two Nguyen emperors. Also visited two pagodas. One was in forest-like setting. Eunuchs were buried there. Royal pagoda was for royal family to pray and relax. Saw car from monk who immolated himself in Saigon. Lunch, then visit to a huge market.

Flew to Hue toddy. Toured Citadel, into Forbidden City. Learned much about Nguyen a Dynasty (1802-1945). Staying at La Residence Hotel, very beautifully located on the Parfum River.
