Hello everyone.

We are in the Hill Station called Ooty at present. We got here after a 5 hour bus trip from Mysore yesterday. Ooty sits at about 2,400 metres so it is quite cool here - it got down to 8 degrees last night.

We met a very nice Canadian couple (Ian & Carol) on the bus and have been checking out the local sights with them.

We are off by train tomorrow for a quick trip involving about 16 hours and three different trains. Our destination is Cochin on the West Coast in Kerala. Ian & Carol are making that trip with us.

One of the trains will be a Nilgiri Mountain Railways steam "Toy Train" for the trip down the hill so we are looking forward to that.

Our Hotel (Hotel Venus) does not have Internet access (nor do many other it seems) so no photo's can be uploaded for the time being - maybe when we get to Cochin (or Kochi if you prefer).
