Well, finally made it to mexico city!! The last stop!!! Got here yesterday after spending a couple of days in Puebla, in a freaky hostel where there was no one else in the dorm except me and a v.enthusiastic gay guy from oaxaca. Knew i shouldnt have seen the film hostel! was literally praying, more people would come!! Oh about oaxaca- something i didnt wanna say before until i was out of there! Theres ben huge protests and strikes by the teachers, and theyre all camping out in the main square and the whole place is filled with posters..... but a couple of weeks ago, the police, without just reason, came into the main square at 4am, dropping tear gas out of helicopters, and just basically battering people in the street. A few people were killed, and theres stil loads 'missing'. Have found the church i wanna get married in! Unfortunately its up a rather steep hill. . . and obviously its in mexico. Minor details . . . . . . Nothalf as many tourists in mex. city as i thought there would be. People still stare! Got a packed out last few days planned! Visit MORE ruins, yes i know. Go to see a bullfight, watch wrestling(!), see a folk ballet thing, and go on a gondala in this place called xochimilco (as well as all the museums....)
