La Florentina restaurant Mendoza Watermelon. Avocado. Lettuce. Radish. Purple corn kernels and a floral citrus vinegrette. Unbelievably fresh and surprisingly filling. Especially with all the bread they provide !! The purple corn could be replaced with hazelnuts or walnuts and I think would actually work better as the purple corn sounds delicious but is just dry hard corn with a cardboardy taste. The dressing had lemon and orange rind in it too. Perfect....

La Florentina restaurant Mendoza Pork steak with caramelised carrots and apricots. (called Damascus) Steak had was bbq'd and had that crisp burst smoky top layer which was also smothered in lemon thyme and sweet carrot. The meat was so tender so soft and the carrots tasted sweet and smoky too. Definitely recommend this restaurant. We drank kaiken ultra 2009 which sounded great but with 15% alcohol over powered the meal. Still a super super evening.

Porridge breakfast. Water oats dash of lactose free milk and bananas. Dollop of fruit of the forest jam too ! I love starting the day this way!

Lunch on the terrace. Italian gnocchi Garlic onions carrots tomato puree and Spanish chorizo. Easy as I didn't make the gnocchi !

Mango sorbet on Sotomayor plaza. Light refreshing with a super crunchy cone. Like the style here where you eat it from the bowl. Clever as everything melts so quickly.
