Medellin airport breakfast. Yummy I ate the Boston cream ones that I just adore and Ed has pink sprinkles and a custard filled one. We had to get up at 530 again so it was so nice to tick into these after check in.

Yellow House hostel Very impressive breakfast included for 55,000 Owner Vincent is French so the omelette with ham and cheese was really nice. Rather salty but really nicely cooked. Fresh juice and fruit too.

We ate the massive omelette breakfast and then pottered around the city. Visiting the butterflies, botanical gardens, boteros statues (where I bought a botin (?) basically it was a donut ball. I was expecting an arepa like taste as they are sold everywhere. Only had a bite as I saw zero taste / calorie benefit. Know that sounds a bit silly but you'll know by now I have no problem shovelling in loads of fried food or high fat food but only if I think it's deliciou...

Cinema time. This was the biggest box of popcorn I'd ever seen. It was so much fun. Saw Olympus is Down. Great action movie. Honestly think I'd enjoy any movie with this much popcorn.

El madrigal restaurant Near Floresta metro, on Caretera 80 and calle 49a. I'd read this was a great little local find and it really was. Lots of random objects nailed to the ceiling. Only locals and a two live folk musicians We shared this and it was brilliant. A little bit of everything. I think I might have written this post already so when I'm on wifi I'll check Tuscan bean soup and meat feast.
