Dan Brown has made this site his own and to very good effect... although I was there I couldnt have described young andy/fred/minky/pareira's near death experience... but I'l try.

Itwas a fine sunny afternoon on wednesday 26th March with three young hunks slowly rafting down the rivers in the forests north of Chiang Mai. Our raft (which was made of about 8 peices of bamboo tied together) had made a fine start, ahead of the following 3 rafts, until a joke went wrong diverted our raft to a dead end, at which point everyone overtook us... after some fine 'engine work' from fred/minky... (u get it) some fine navigational skills from the predator Alex/Shark etc and some... well... I was there ok in the middle!! IT WASNT EASY!!

Anyway as the 3 rafts cooly moved away from us we tried to step up a gear and had a fantastic rythym until 2 of the bamboo sticks moved slightly apart and poor andy got his flip-flop stuck and he lost balance and went over board! Me and alex turned and saw the young engine spalshing with one of his legs still on the boat - it was the funniest thing I have ever seen... until alex screemed at me that his leg was trapped and that I needed to get him out. At this point the 5-1 defeat ealier in the season flashed through my mind, the relentless amount of abuse i had received and the question; would the world be a better place without 1 spurs fan...

I made the decision to held the drowning yid fan... at first I tried to drag him up but his leg was properly wedged, so I had to wedge my leg in and pull him after... Mr and Mrs Pareira you'll be happy yo know he made it though. Once rescued me and alex continued to laugh relentlessly... after about 10minutes of pure laughter and alot of abuse we then continued on our trek down river... for about 90 seconds when we heard another splash... this time young andy had mistaken where he was on the boat (he thought he was in the middle (even though I was standing a metre in front of him in the middle) and he had stepped off the back of the boat!! priceless. Following these actions we finally completed our boat ride about 10minutes behind everyone else...

Good times, and Ive only been here 9 days!!

Hi all, did someone not mention to you that, along with creepy crawlies, Andrew/fred/Minky/Durso (I still don't know what that means) does not do boats. Put him in the bath with a plastic boat and a rubber duck and he is fine, real ones oh no. Keep the stories coming, they make great reading for us poor folks who have to work.

Just flicking through the recent pictures and it looks like your all settling in quite well now!!! Im just sitting here trying to avoid work at all costs so thought id send a little message. Im loving the picutres with the tigers they look sooooooo cute and quite scary at the same time. I also loved the last blog entry about your near death experiences it made me laugh i think Dan Brown is quite the comedian in the way he tells the stories!! Tnas are coming on well i see im still as white as ever so i have had to resort to getting a spray tan as im quite jealous. Anyway boys keep the picutres coming and have a drink or two for me!!!

what a funny story! i can just imagine Andy panicking and scrambling to get aboard that raft!! and i bet you boys were laughing away, for ages until you started to realise something was wrong, then you gave him just a bit more time to struggle before actually doin somethin to help - you shoulda taken photos of it
