Dan brown I have posted the final blog on the internet...it's in two parts, one under Pucon and one under Santiago!!! Happy xmas to the big man today...sure his tucking into some turkey....got a big can of fosters and is trying to convince God to give his beloved forest three points tomorrow!!!

Keith and Kathy Fairbrother STEPHEN'S FUNERAL We would like to thank everyone who attended Stephen's funeral on Wednesday and also those who were not able to do so but sent messages of condolence and cards. What an absolutely brilliant turnout - we were amazed and thrilled. Everyone had such nice things to say about Stephen it made us really proud - although we already were, of course. Special thanks to Dan for his beautiful poem which we will treasure.We would like to apologise to anyone we did not get chance to speak to personally but we were overwhelmed by the number of people there. If anyone wishes to contact us, please feel free to do so. The collection that took place at the funeral raised almost £600. We were amazed at the amount collected but then - getting to know all of Stephen's friends may be we shouldn't be surprised at your generosity. Many thanks to everyone. We would like to make a donation to the hostel that the boys stayed in Pucon, Chile but will discuss with Stephen's travelling companions first. Sheena Like Janice, part of my daily routine for the past nine months has been to check the blog and laugh at all the comments, jokes and general camaraderie between all the boys and their friends both back home and abroad. I felt that I got to know all of the five lost boys. Steve's funeral yesterday was a fitting tribute to a truly fine young man who was so obviously loved by so many people. Dan - the poem you wrote and read out was so heartfelt and spoke of so many of his qualities - once again your pen did the trick! Steve will indeed live on in the wonderful memories you all share. Janice The only time I can really remember Steve (sorry it's an age thing) is at Heathrow when we saw Andrew and the other excited 4 Lost Boys off on their epic trip. I believe we bumped into each other in their UCN student accommodation when I was trying to organise Andrews belongings on the day they all moved in, at the start of their frienship. But during the course of the boys travels, I, like most of their relatives & friends got to know each one of them intimately (sometimes very intimately) through this blog. My daily routine at work was switch PC on, click on blog, moan at Dan Brown for not keeping up etc. Losing Steve was a tragic finale to the adventure, but the wonderful memories and close friendships of these recent months will live on in each of the 4 Lost Boys. Lincoln I didn't know Steve or any of the other boys, however as an Australian with a keen interest in Cogenhoe United FC, I have heard of the terrible news. Reading posts from other people, it is such a shame that a great young man should be so cruelly taken away, and my best wishes and deepest condolences go to his family and friends. Horacio Dalmonego We have the wonderful opportunity to meet the five lost boys in Rosario. We spent almost a week together, playing footy, cooking barbecue, laughing, drinking some beer, and talking about dreams, life, future. We also had a great time watching the big game between Newell´s Old Boys and Rosario Central. We do not have right words to express our deep sorrow for Stephen´s death. Howard Pattern (capone) Im sorry to everyone that this message is so late but i really didnt know what to say..!He was 1 of the nicest blokes i have ever met and was always a man of his word and would do anything for anyone...i used to call him the BFG!
