Hello friends and families.. thought I should post a little update!!
We are in a bueatiful area in Laos called Vang Vieng...a small town in this valley surrounded by huge mountains. For the past 3 days we've just been riding these big tubes down a river and gettin smashed. The river has loads of bars down it and the owners just throw a stick at you and pull you in. Then they give you beer and FREE whiskey!!
Not to mention there are huge rope swings and zip lines... The first day I tried a huge swing, but I had had probably about 8/9 beerlaos and I completely stacked it head first... my necks still a bit stiff!!
Whos idea was it to mix rope swings, shallow water and alcohol??? I think health and sfety could be n issue??
Sorry for going on.... but last thing... Dan Brown did zip line naked - still have this image of his little white bottom flaying in the air as he falls into the river! Probably the funniest thing Ive seen since Ive been away!!
Congrat bezzington and burton on the goals - last game of the season as well... your like our makelele!!
Anyway much love!! We will try and take our cam, eras downthis river soon and get some great pics.

Hi Dan and all Lost Boys
Lao looks amazing! Still obviously enjoying lots of the local beer and wonderful natural herbs I notice you smoking quite a lot! Scenary and waterfalls, rivers and countryside looks amazing. Looks like you are making lots of friends on route and having one big party. When do you move on and where to next?
Leeds lost to Hudd Town 1-0 last night and today begins arbitration about the deducted 15 points..will keep you posted.
Amazing how you all survived the shipwreck...did it make you feel like Jack in Titanic? Pleae take the arm bands I gave you on the next boat! Glad to see you getting about on bikes- bet your glad I made you do the cycling proficiencey test now..i told you you'd need it one day!
Still very jealous...enjoy the rest of Lau and keep me posted on upcoming locations.

How do fellas? The pics look good, thought i better come say hello! Dan you're looking the business with those pistols like some sort of rambo shooting schwartznegger killing machine!!
So we had our last game today against those young dynamo lot, think the end score was 6-2 so we're just hoping Hux slip up again. Last game and both Berry and Burton get on the scoresheet and i have to say mine was better than all your rubbish pens put together Monego!!
Anyway boys hope there's no aisan monego/brown/fairy babies on the way (there could be some asia looking andy matthews toddlers out there so keep an eye out!)

Hi Fairy/Brass/Vlad/Northener (someone's geography is a bit off the mark - Mum is a northener - we are "Midlanders")
Looks like you are having a great time. You seem to be spending a lot of time in, on or under water so all the time and money spent on your swimming lessons when you were a baby was all worthwhile. I bet you forgot to pack your arm bands! Send us a message or text or email us and it would be great to see some more of your photos. Everything is just the same here - boring work, mowing the lawn, shopping etc etc. No hammocks for us to laze in but then it has been snowing here in the past week so we are still huddled round the central heating. I wasn't going to mention football but I thought you should know that Forest are back to their winning ways beating Tranmere 2-0 yesterday - exciting stuff isn't it - and are now fairly sure of a play off place!!!! Anyway, I will be settling down in front of the tele this afternoon to watch some proper football - the Gooners playing Man Utd. I know who my money is on but hadn't better say! I'd better go now and get the lawn mowed before mum gets back.
Take care, lots of love
Mum and Dad

Hi Guys
Well!!! Off I go to Scotland for a couple of weeks and when I get back I discover all hell's let loose in little old Laos - Murder, mayhem and chaos in Laos reigns. However I am pleased to see that all famous five intrepid explorers survived to fight another day - your blog entry is priceless and paints a very hilarious picture although I have a sneaky feeling it wasn't that funny at the time, in fact I think there is a note of hysteria there! Anyway glad all has calmed down - for the moment - but I gather you are off on yet another adventure which involves water - don't you lot ever learn? Andrew - maybe your new "hair-do" will give you less resistance and increase your chances of survival - like some sort of human torpedo!!
Take care all
Loads of Love, Sheena
Monego (Real One!!)
Sorry Barnes forgot to mention that my mum moved house - oops. I'll throw you an email with her address and warn her that your after your suit!!!
Good luck today for the Dally boys!!! Championship is still in sight and I fancy Hux to drop points!! Come on the LIONS!!
Benko, I have to agree with mr brown - Beerlao is well nice. It could be that we are in 40 degree heat and anything cold is a welcome break but so far Ive been in laos for about 10 days and I have yet not to have a Beerlao!!
James - Im probably mirroring Borwns word but we're heading up to Viang Vien tomorow I think - just in time for the new year which started today!! You guys probably wont see many pics of this period as this is the biggest waterfight in the world for 3 days straight, so no digital cameras!!!
Hey mum, tell jack he no longer has an older brother, consider him disowned. Sicko wearing his liverpool shirt. I cant belive you had snow again - whats going on?? I finally burnt myself yesterday, kind of fell asleep on a beach for 3 hours - my head is fine, but Im goin to have lobster legs for the next fewdays!!
Alls well out here, boat crashes, gun shooting - laos doesnt care much for health and safety. We travelled down to the 4'000 island in the south on a 12 hour sleeper bus; which had beds on it - god knows what would happen if we crashed!! Not as comfortale as it sounds either... we travelled back up on a standard bus!!
Anyway, everything is going well out here - everyone still holding on to thier lives, so going better than expected...
