Day 61: The drive to McKinlay is another big one, but we break it up with a stop in Mt Isa. We grab some groceries and stop in at the Information Centre. Day 60: It's a long, hot, windy drive along the Tablelands Highway. A single, crumbling lane, bordered on both sides by flat, treeless and grassless pastureland. How does anything survive out here? But, we pass herds of cows gathered at the water troughs, chewing on what can only be their own cud.
