Day 66: Longreach School of Distance Education (LSODE) and Stockmans Hall of Fame. Another early start sees us at the School of the Air. We are given a tour of the facility, and shown how the teacher interacts with the child over the radio and the Internet. Afterwards, we head to the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame for an 11am show. We are treated to a show depicting the life of a stockman, with plenty of sideshow gags. It was a lot of fun. Day 65: Powerhouse Museum and Qantas Founders Museum. We are reluctant to get out of bed this morning, as it is cold, cold, cold! But we have a big day ahead of us, so we hustle and bustle, and get moving. The Powerhouse Museum is on the same street as our CP, so we walk, and are much warmer on our arrival. Day 64: Winton delivers us another cold morning as we pack up and head to Longreach. It's 180+km drive, and we pass the same dry, desolate pastureland of the last few days. We also see a lot more roadkill, which of course is mainly kangaroos, but also sheep. When we get to the outskirts of Longreach, we checkout the Rest Area, but decide to stay in town.
