Man marker av engelsmannens inflytande over staden.
Hors fran Shanghai igen! CAO
Hi everyone!
I have spent 3 days in Hong Kong now, in this incredible city! Hong Kong is like London but on ecstacy! Everything is faster, flashier, more modern... Such a incredible place! You notice the influence the englishman have had on this place, they drive on the wrong side of the road, they have the same wastebasket and so much more! Hong Kong is a bigger, modern, cleaner London... And you have to walk a couple of miles to get around here, just like in London. The subway is great, clean and easy to get around but its most fun to ride during rush hour, chaos... And then we have all this skyscrapers!!! Amazing! You realy feel tiny...
I can mention that it's nice to be back in the civilisation again after 2months in the wild west :)
The first day I arrived it was great weather something that is not that usual I later got to experience. Clear sky, sunshine and 30degres, it was perfect! The other days it was more normal weather, fogy and gray, typical english weather :)
I live in the central part of Kowloon, the main shopping area wich is nice becouse it's "near" to most places. I went walking around the harbour that day and the view there is amazing, you seen it on postcards surely. I also visited some nice museums in the nearby that day.
The second day I just vanderd around and admired this amazing city! They have some very nice parks everywhere and it's nice to find some peace in this hectic city. I took the subway to central on Hong Kong Island, that area is the central of everything. Every bank has its headquarter there, all fashion designers must have shop there, if you want to be somebody then you must exist in that area. Just amazing!
Today I just been around and doing some windowshopping in this hightech-crazy town. There is so much electronic equipment that you just wanna go crazy! But it was great fun to see this endless shoppingmalls full of electronics. In the evening I took the tram to the highest point in central Hong Kong I think, the Peak view and the view from there was just amazing! To look down on this city... just amazing.
I think I walked over 10miles but every step has been worth it! It has been great fun here!
Tomorow I'm leaving for Shanghai and the journey should take 20h if everything goes smothlie... Lets experience China!
