Today we took a boat ride around ao phang nga national park and visted the ko phing kan which is the island from james bond- man with the golden gun. we shared the boat ride with an odd israeli lady who was an actress, writer, traveller amongst other things. the national park is lots of mangroves surrounding massive limestone cliffs. the tour lasted about 8 hours with a lunch of rice and seafood and pineapple on a private beach. we explored caves not for the claustrophobic. we then got to james bond island which has been ruined by tourism but is still pretty awesome, the beach now has a terrible tacky market on it with litter. on our way back we stopped off at the floating muslim village where we were accosted by a ladyboy's monkey! we were just walking along and spotted a girl with a monkey. we kept looking at the monkey but didn't pay much attention to the girl and then the girl put the monkey on zella and tried to put blusher on zella, i then realised it was a he and then it's friends brought their monkeys and there were 3 in total and we thought they were going to steal our wallets but they took photos of us and got the camers back and were pleased with the results. they then demanded payment, this was not even verbally agreed, we needed our lawyers but to avoid confrontation we gave them 1 pound for the privilege. we are staying here tonight and then off to railay at krabi 100km further down the east coast and then of to ko phi phi. love you all, and miss you all too ben and zella xxxxxxxxx p.s. also have some mangrove shots for you simon, contain your excitement!
