Goondiwindi - Noosaville

A long drive today, with many road trains along the way. Don washed his car before heading off to make the travelling more comfortable and to try to reduce friction. We only turned on the air conditioner as we were approaching Brisbane and the sun coming in via the windscreen was just so enjoyable. We headed to Noosa via the Clem Jones tunnel with both of us agreeing that we have never been in a longer tunnel even in Europe.

We arrived in Noosaville thanks to our borrowed Tom Tom GPS right on the designated time of 2.15pm finding the Pelican Waters Resort was very easy. What a surprise, this place is fantastic with 2 TV's a well-appointed kitchen including dishwasher, bathroom / laundry with washing machine and Fisher Paykel dryer. We found Safeway about 5 mins from our digs and took a quick trip there passing just so many restaurants we couldn't count them. Prices are much the same up here as home so that was a bonus.

Our resort has heated spa, large swimming pool, sauna and two great BBQ's. Don cooked sausages for dinner tonight and Fay put up a salad. Internet is not free up here as expected and we are using our Bigpond Pre Paid to answer email etc.

We stayed in tonight after our long drive and will explore a lot more tomorrow.
