First visit today was to the Arts & Craft Centre run by volunteers. Many different crafts from pottery to paintings were all there on show. All good to look at and admire some peoples talent.
We then went to see the Historical Museum in Tuncurry and were met by Barbara & Bob. Brother & Sister and descendants of the founders of this area. We spent over 1 hour wandering around and gaining an insight into the history of these two towns. Most enjoyable.
Starting to rain today and this is the first time we have had to wear long pants and jumpers since leaving Dubbo as the weather is on the turn.
August 8th.
Clouds aplenty today with hail and rain. We went to Bingo this morning at Sporties Club in Tuncurry. Fay had a win on the pokies and she was very pleased with the effort. We stopped and saw the fishing fleet at the fishing co-op and then home for lunch. A snooze along with a read and another movie on AUSTAR saw out the afternoon. Don cooked some steak on the BBQ for dinner and then it was back to bingo again at Club Forster. We both had wins and it was a lot of fun but very noisy in the club. We are both getting too good to put up with the noise - ha ha.
August 9th.
Census day today and we will do ours online. Ken let me know the numbers of our forms etc. so that I can do it online.
Off to bingo again to spend some of our vouchers that we won yesterday and maybe have enough for lunch as well. Lunch back home during the break. Close but no wins today.
Started raining heavily and yes Fay has our washing on the line. Looks like a job for the dryer.
Don set the GPS for Nowra and we are off tomorrow - 455K. Pack up here tonight and ready for our next section. Filled in the Census online and that's easy.
