We arrived safely after a very long day. Up at 1:00 a.m. Pacific time and putting this final segment together at 8:00 p.m. - Love travel but I hate these long flights and delays at the different airports. It's so great to be back in my own bed tonight at least until our next trip south in just three weeks.

Last night was our farewell dinner. We went out to Flemings in Turkey Creek and had a tremendous dinner. Beyond that it was packing night as 4:00 a.m. came early. We arrived at the airport well ahead of time and everything went smoothly except that I forgot the two small pocket knives that I had in my checked luggage. After the complete bomb scan of everything else I was given the opportunity to go back to the check-in desk and put them in my checked luggage. ...

We've arrived in Dallas / Fort Worth and it's a clear blue sky with warm temperatures. Thought we'd try to reserve a rental from Seattle Tacoma airport to get us home, but with the one way rental surcharge it gets a little expensive. We don't have any other options at this point so here we come Budget. A quick McDonald's breakfast and we sit here at Gate A11 waiting for our 10:50 a.m. (local time) departure time into Seattle.

It's been five days since I've been able to upload any blog updates. So yes - you guessed it, here I sit in another McDonald's updating this crazy blog thing. It's been a little tough for me being disconnected from the inter-web, but all is ok now. I've been unable to get access to the Inter-Web for these last few days as Jean hasn't got the service in her house so here I sit at the McDonald's in Clinton, TN for two hours while the girls shop the antique stores on Market Street in downtown Clinton.
