Hello, i am so sorry to every body, i feel very badly that i havent updates in so lobg. EVerything has been manic here. The last 2 weeks i have tried to fit as many things in as possible. Then my family arrived on Monday evening and i have been trying to sort out all their stuff etc, whilst trying to do last minute things before i leave tomorrow. I cant believe it. I have spent 2 and 1/2 months and it has just gone. I dont know where the time has gone to!
Where i left off last time was that Alexandra and i had just visited this amazing house, that looks so french its unbelievable. Shutters and everything. The interiors where just as impressive and it was a very surreal experience.
Then Sunday, i cant remember what date it was, about 8 of us went into the mountains that surround the city for a picnic, which was really nice, apart from the fact at the start it was raining and by 4 in the afternoon it was sunny and hot. Very unpredictable weatehr we have here. We managed to go up to 3130 meters and climbed a number of steps. The road that also was following the steps said we had done 6 km. So that and back down we did 12km- not too bad. However, we a re slightly worried that we are going to be doing Machu Picchu, carrying our rucksacks and it is going to be 10 times harder than that- we are going to die!!
The monday was the day after one of the kids's bitrthdays and so Alexandra and i put our culinary skills to the test and made a very impressive chocolate brownie cake. That was a wonderful day and all the kids loved it.
The next saturday was Paddy's day and all the brits out here couldn't miss out. So we decided to bring a touch of the Irish out here. We all adourned ourselves with green feathers and painted shamrocks on our faces for the evening. One of the volutneers even clad himself entirely in green- it was lovely! To our greta dissappointment though, there is not an Irish pub in cochabamba. Its ridiculous i know! However, we did actually turn up to one of our local hangouts and the obviously knew about it, as they had shamrocks everywhere as well as leprachauns.
Anyway i have just bee calle dfor lunch so must dash. Hope evryone is well, and i am so sorry this is very brief
Bye xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
