Day 8 Singapore. After a traditional Singapore breakfast of Maccas at Raffles City we hopped on the Hop on bus around Singapore as Yvonne had never been to Singapore and d*** last visit was 40 years ago. A good orientation of Singapore and we got off at Peoples Park then led by Andre's excellent navigation skills got hopelessly lost (ok a bit lost) but still found our way to Chinatown. Hello TinTin shop!! My favourite shop in Singapore. The girls shopped through the endless bazaar while we stayed at Tiger Beer Corner, then caught up later. Finally got off at the Carlton and we were strolling back when somebody who looked like Andre went streaking past. Turns out he left a bag on the bus. He caught it four blocks later and rejoined us. Afterward caught up with Nathan who arrived from Adelaide for four hours then back on a plane to Dubai. Stephen, Sharon, Sean and Sheena met us at the Carlton then led us through a labyrinth of underground shopping malls to Clark Quay for a magnificent hawkers market banquet under the Marina Sands towers. Thank you Stephen and family - it was a pleasure to meet you. Back to the Carlton for goodbyes. Very sad to say good bye to Andre and Patricia who will stay in Singapore for the week. Next stop Dubai. Ps andre your toothbrush is safe!
